Cusco, diversify city
Cusco is located 3400 m above sea level, surrounded by mountains, part of one of the mythical places for tourists in South America. With 350,000 residents, the city is listed as cultural heritage of UNESCO. It is the departure city to reach one of the 7 wonders of the world: Machu Picchu.
Origin :
Its name comes from the word Quechua what this means "navel", created in the 11 or 12th centuries. It was the capital of the Incas long at the time.Moving :
There is the airport Velasco Astete which is very close to our agency, then you can move to Cusco by taxi for about 4 soles. There are also two rail lines serving Cusco. One from Puno, and the other from Poray.The collectivos (bus) are also very present in the city that will take you almost anywhere for 0.70 soles.
Climate :
Temperate climate due to its high altitude. Dry season from May to September and wet season from October to April. June is the month the least rainy and January the month that receives the most rain. The nights are cooler, don’t forget your wind blow.What do you see ? :
