
Cusco - Andahuaylillas – Pikillakta – Tipon
South of Cusco
3 cultureless sites near to Cusco, few tourists but with great cultural resources. The church of Andahuaylillas, the pre-inca site of Pikillakta and finally the village of guinea pigs, Tipon. You will be able to discover these impressive three sites on ½ day.



Departure at 9 am from Cusco and we started this tour visiting Andahuyalillas, small town of 2500 inhabitants, which is located approximately 40 minutes from Cusco. Church known for its nickname "The Sixtine Chapel of America". The villagers take care day and night on the Inca temple where reside many pieces of gold and silver. After the visit, we depart towards Pikillaqta.
We will visit this archaeological complex differs from the rest of the Sacred Valley because of its membership of the Wari culture. It was inhabited between 600 and 900 of the Christian era. Finally, we end this tour to visit the site of Tipon. Located 27kms from Cusco, Inca site not too touristic but impressive for its 12 stones terraces. Complicated irrigation system, rainwater collected for reuse what finally agronomy. In the end, we visit the town whereyou can taste the guinea pigs, who is the specialty here. Return to Cusco around 2pm.
