Cusco City Tour
Cusco city houses an impressive and unusual combination of cultures from Inca, colonial and ending in the typical as it is now.
An unique panoramic view of Cusco and its surroundings can be enjoyed during this tour.

The department of Cusco is located in the south-eastern region of Peru.
We will visit the downtown and the surroundings of Cusco, to see the historical and important places of the Inca and colonial times.

ITINERARY:
We will move in a comfortable bus accompanied by an official guide. Visit the following attractions:
THE CATHEDRAL: Located in the heart of the city, it features one the most remarkable examples of colonial silver and gold work as well as very important carved wood altars. It is possible to see very important art pieces of local artists.
TEMPLE OF THE SUN (QORICANCHA): It was the most important sanctuary devoted to the Sun God during times of the Inca Empire. On which it was built the church and convent of Santo Domingo in the colonial time.
SACSAYHUAMAN: Located 2 km from the city of Cusco. It is a megalithic archaeological site, the type of architecture that has given the religious importance it had in the Inca time. On one side of the square you can see walls built with stones they worked arriving weigh over 350 tons.
QENQO: it is 3 km from the city of Cusco. The name means labyrinth, as in the passages worked into a rock is observed. Finding a ceremonial table inside the function must be strictly religious-ceremonial.
PUCAPUCARA: it is located 6 km from the city of Cusco. Considered a checkpoint on the Inca road from Cusco to the Sacred Valley.
TAMBOMACHAY: Located 7 km from the city of Cusco. It presents beautiful water fountains, from springs, running from ancient times until today. Considered us a temple to worship the water or purification center.
