Procession during the celebration of Corpus Christi

Probably the most important religious festival of Cusco schedule. The eve of Corpus Christi, 15 Virgins and Saints come into the city to the cathedral to greet the image of Christ. The largest bell in Cusco sounds that day, Maria Angola. During the night 12 dishes are cooked and eat like the famous dish of cuy (guinea pig). Plaza de Armas is filled the same day to greet the Saints.
